Wellness Warrior Biometric Screening
January 9, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST
At Wayne State, we believe that wellness is multifaceted, and to be a successful worksite wellness program we should address the many aspects of wellness for our most important component – YOU. To do so, WSU’s Wellness Warriors program provides the tools and resources for you to create a personalized wellness plan for all benefit eligible WSU employees.
Extended Registration Period: The 2019 Wellness Warriors enrollment period will be November 7, 2018, through January 18, 2019. The first step to becoming a 2019 Wellness Warrior is to submit your critical health information by either attending an on-campus screening or completing a Provider Qualification Form (PQF).
Non-Fasting Biometric Screenings: For 2019, the WSU Wellness Warrior program provides both fasting and non-fasting screenings, offered at various times and locations throughout our campus. This gives you a better opportunity for convenient participation and enrollment. We hope the ability to complete a non-fasting screening test will provide you the flexibility to choose what fits best into your schedule. You can still fast for your testing, however, it is NOT required. For more information and screening locations, visit the Wellness Warriors website.
More Privacy: The biometric screening events will be organized in a way to maximize increased privacy for each participant. Our goal is to have all eligible participants feel assured and comfortable with the location of the screening as well as the confidentiality of their results.
On-Site Licensed Health Care Personnel: Trained, licensed, health care professionals will be available at the screenings and other wellness events to provide personal health consultations. Additionally, the Campus Health Center collaborates with various WSU professional health programs and colleges to provide clinical experiences for WSU students. Screening events will operate with trained Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health students under the direction of Registered Nurses and/or Nurse Practitioners. This inter-professional clinical experience is extremely valuable to all those involved.
