Post-pandemic life and alcohol use: Navigating a safe return to campus and social life WEBINAR

July 14, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

In the first month of the pandemic, alcohol sales increased by 54% from previous months (Pollard et al., 2020). The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (2019) also reported 53% of college students drank within the past month and, among that population, 33% reported binge drinking. Additionally, previous research indicates traumatic life events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, are associated with alcohol use and alcohol dependency.
This free, informational webinar will discuss the safe return to campus and social activities, the dangers of a day drinking culture, and how to manage anxiety and alcohol use while adapting to post-pandemic life at college. A panel discussion will follow the presentation and will feature a team of experts who will answer questions and share strategies for managing alcohol use and reducing anxiety.
Webinar attendees can enter to win an Amazon gift card! Your contact information must be provided to win, but you can still attend the webinar anonymously…just sign out of your Zoom account on the day of, and sign back in with an alias
